So 3 months later and my RG Aile Strike is finished… well I think it’s finished at least. Also this will, in all likelihood, be my last Real Grade. I say that now, but if they were to release a God Gundam in this grade, then all bets are off.

My HG Exia… poor thing really, it’s what I learned to paint on (for which I did a crappy job, though it was over 3 year ago) as seen by the GN sword. Still nice to see I’ve improved some what since then, for example the most important thing I leaned was DON’T FUCKING TO THAT AGAIN! That and be careful how much spray paint you put on, it’ll eat your plastic. Arguably that’s probably more important.
So why am I posting this glorious reminder of past mistakes, simples, I bought some matt topcoat. Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Matt to be exact. I’ve often read people extolling the virtues of a matt topcoat, I never saw the point, it never looked like it made this huge difference. But now I have an understanding. And with it this urge, this thing gnawing at me, it won’t stop, it’s always there, it just keeps screaming
DAMN YOU WORLD, WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO ME! WHY!
That being said and all, for something that was mostly hand painted it’s still kind of sexy. I mean just look at those GN Condenser, the light catches them just right and they glow.
My RG Aile Strike arrived today, hell yeah!
I’d been meaning to pick this up since it came out 7 or so months ago but after the RG 78-2, I was waiting for bandai to fix some of the issues with them… instead I bought the Strike. Actually I bought the Strike because the Skygrasper was coming out. And there’s no sense in getting an awesome little space fighter/plane thing with two striker packs I’d have no use for. I’m weak, I buckled, I MUST FEED MY GAINT MEACHA IN TINY FORM
FETISH, I mean addiction, yeah that sounds less freaky. Marginally.
Also in shot is my old MG Strike from ‘03, though I bought mine in ‘07. My first MG in fact. Which I have yet to go back to and try salvage fix up.
Now all I have to do is finish off the MC HWS V GUNDOOM… which I started x-mas day… which will be, oh, 9 weeks ago his Sunday. I hate fin funnels, so, fucking much.
